"The food was excellent and the service 10/10! I've been looking for a Puerto Rican restaurant for month and happen on this one on TikTok. I drove 40min and it did not disappoint! The Mofongo was flavorful the Tostones were cooked perfectly the pork crackling was juicy and tender! I could eat there everyday if it was close enough. If you want authentic Puerto Rican cuisine this is where its at!"

"Delicious Puerto Rican food! This review is coming from a genuine Puerto Rican family! We live out of town, out on the Olympic peninsula. My mother usually makes them every Christmas, but this year she didn't have the time and had trouble getting all the ingredients out here. But we wanted to eat some traditional Christmas Pasteles, with Arros con gandules (a Puerto Rican rice dish). For those that don't know, Puerto Rican Pasteles are a Christmas dish, kinda like tamales but made with a plantain mash instead of a corn meal/maize mash. So we decided to order them premade from a restaurant this year. Cannot tell you how much they tasted SO authentic and delicious! Delicious isn't a big enough word for them actually! And then the rice OMG! It was so great it had addictive qualities! I've read a few reviews where people didn't like their take out only format, but I was fine with that. They do a great job, and you have the luxury of having an awesome Puerto Rican meal in the luxury of your own home. Were I living close by, I'd eat OSJ's several times a week, ITS THAT GOOD! Do yourself a favor and give them a try, you won't be disappointed... and you'll thank me later!"

"I recently dined at OSJ International Restaurant in Lakewood, Washington, and had an amazing experience! I tried the Mofongo Surf and Turf, and it was absolutely delicious. The combination of perfectly cooked seafood and tender meat was flavorful and well-balanced. The alcapurrias was also a standout--rich and full of depth. The ambiance was welcoming, and the service was top-notch. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking to explore diverse and delicious flavors!"

"We love coming here. Everyone is always nice while we're taking our order. Although the sign has been there for a while, I do hope that they plan to open their indoor seating again soon, it was been closed since the pandemic. I ordered the badeja paisa for the first time and I really enjoyed it. This meal was big enough to feed 2 people. I bring family here when they come in from out of town. It's the only Puerto Rican spot you'll find in the area. The food is really good. During the holidays, we like to order at least a dozen pastelles and a bottle or 2 of coquito. If you place a big order, expect a wait. For 10 of us to order on the spot, it took about 45 minutes for us to get our food, which was fine considering we had a group. Since there is no indoor seating, we usually go find a park nearby to go and eat what we ordered. They give very decent reusable to-go trays, which keep the food warm for a while. If you're looking for Puerto Rican food, this is a good spot."

"Hello everyone, I'm very excited to write to you about today's review. I will be speaking about the Puerto Rican restaurant called OSJ, (Old San Juan) in Lakewood. I can say this was the best tasting Latin food that I've had since moving to Washington state 10 years ago. I will be providing everyone many pictures so you can also enjoy a part of this great restaurant. We are Cubans from Miami with many Puerto Rican friends and we All loved the food! Not only was the food delicious but they give you so much that you could literally eat it for two days. If you're in the mood for great Latin food you would be absolutely crazy not to try this restaurant! It is take out only for now, (No dine in eating) so order your food and take it home. My personal advice: try the Ropa Vieja dinner with yellow rice. Muchas Gracias por la comida mas Rica mis amigos. James M"
